Acerca de JSON a YAML/TOML

Convert between common configuration formats

JSON, YAML, and TOML have different type, quoting, comment, and nesting rules. A successful conversion is a starting point: review strings that look like numbers, dates, booleans, or keys with special characters before committing the result.

Cómo usar esta herramienta de desarrollo

  1. Paste valid JSON and choose YAML or TOML as the output format.
  2. Convert the document and inspect nested values, arrays, quoting, and empty values.
  3. Parse the output with the target application's own loader before using it as configuration.

Privacidad y tratamiento de datos

The conversion is designed to run locally in the browser. Redact credentials and environment-specific secrets from configuration samples before sharing the output.

Preguntas frecuentes

Will comments survive a JSON conversion?

JSON has no comments, so comments cannot be recovered from JSON. Add format-specific comments only after deciding where the output will live.

Why did a value change type?

YAML and TOML can infer types differently from JSON. Quote values whose exact string form matters and validate with the target parser.

Does conversion validate application configuration?

No. It validates the source format and produces syntax for the target format; the application still needs to validate required keys and values.
