Convert time zones, timestamps, and relative times
A timestamp is only meaningful with its unit, timezone, and intended precision. Explicit offsets are safer than ambiguous local strings, and a conversion result should be checked against the system that will store or display it.
Cómo usar esta herramienta de desarrollo
- Enter an ISO, RFC, Unix seconds, Unix milliseconds, or relative date value.
- Choose the target timezone and inspect the absolute and local representations.
- Record the input unit and timezone with the converted value so another system can interpret it correctly.
Privacidad y tratamiento de datos
Date conversion runs locally in the browser and does not need your data to leave the device. Avoid pasting event logs that contain user identifiers when a short sample is enough.

Preguntas frecuentes
How do I distinguish Unix seconds from milliseconds?
The magnitude gives a clue, but the safe approach is to use the unit expected by the source system and verify the resulting calendar date.
Why did the local date change after conversion?
The same instant can have different calendar dates in different time zones. Keep the original offset or timezone when the local wall-clock time matters.
Does a relative time stay correct forever?
No. Relative labels depend on the current clock and are presentation output. Store an absolute timestamp for durable data.
