Acerca de Texto Base64
Convert UTF-8, Base64, and Base64URL
Base64 is an encoding, not encryption. The distinction matters when copying values into APIs, cookies, URLs, or test fixtures: the receiving system must expect the same alphabet, padding rules, and character encoding.
Cómo usar esta herramienta de desarrollo
- Choose text-to-Base64 or decode mode, then select standard Base64 or Base64URL when the option is available.
- Paste the value and check that the input is complete and uses the expected alphabet.
- Convert the value and compare the decoded text with the original before copying it into your application.
Privacidad y tratamiento de datos
Text is processed in the browser. Do not treat the local workflow as a permission to paste production tokens or personal data; Base64 values remain easy to decode and should not be used as a secret store.

Preguntas frecuentes
What is the difference between Base64 and Base64URL?
Base64 uses plus and slash characters and commonly includes padding. Base64URL substitutes URL-safe characters and often omits padding.
Why do non-English characters need UTF-8?
UTF-8 gives the encoder a consistent byte representation for Unicode text, so decoding can reconstruct the original characters.
Is an encoded API key protected?
No. Anyone with the encoded value can decode it. Use a secret-management or encryption workflow when confidentiality is required.
