Acerca de Hash y suma de comprobación
Calculate digests for text or files
A hash is a one-way fingerprint, not encryption. Matching digests provide evidence that two inputs are the same under the chosen algorithm, but they do not prove who produced the file or prevent a malicious replacement on their own.
Cómo usar esta herramienta de desarrollo
- Choose a digest algorithm and enter text or select a file.
- Calculate the digest and copy the value without changing whitespace or line endings.
- Compare it with a trusted reference and record the algorithm alongside the digest.
Privacidad y tratamiento de datos
Digest calculation runs locally in the browser. The input is not intentionally uploaded, but remember that a hash can still reveal whether a guessed value matches a known secret.

Preguntas frecuentes
Can a hash be decrypted?
A hash is not encryption and has no decryption key. Weak or short inputs may still be guessed and compared against their digest.
Which algorithm should I choose?
Use the algorithm required by the protocol or publisher. For new integrity workflows, follow current platform guidance instead of choosing only by digest length.
Why did two files produce different hashes?
Any byte difference matters, including line endings, encoding, metadata, or a trailing newline. Compare the exact files and algorithm.
