À propos de Convertisseur de base
Common bases, RFC 4648, and custom alphabets
A base conversion is only correct when the input alphabet, sign, padding, and interpretation are known. Distinguish ordinary numeric bases from Base32/Base64-style encodings, which may represent bytes rather than a mathematical number.
Comment utiliser cet outil développeur
- Choose the input and output representation, then enter a valid value for the input alphabet.
- Convert the value and inspect the result for sign, padding, and case behavior.
- Use the output only in a system that documents the same alphabet and parsing rules.
Confidentialité et traitement des données
Base conversion runs locally and does not require a server. Do not use the page to transform secrets into a supposedly hidden form; encoding and base conversion do not provide confidentiality.

Questions fréquentes
Is Base64 a normal number base?
It uses an alphabet and can encode bytes, but common Base64 workflows are not the same as converting a mathematical integer between bases.
Why is my value rejected?
A digit may not belong to the selected alphabet, or the value may contain separators, a sign, or padding that the chosen mode does not accept.
Does changing the base change the value?
For ordinary numeric conversion, the represented integer stays the same while its digit sequence changes. For byte encodings, verify the protocol semantics separately.
